Items are handled and well taken care of in transit, wrapped very securely. I had used From Japan service for many years and it is a peace of mind.

Fast Japan Proxy Service

I have used both From Japan and ZenMarket.
From Japan checks item prices faster, and they purchase you items faster. The fees might be higher but almost the same.
Would use this service again!

great user interface, customer service, consolidating shipping at a reasonable fee

Easy to use user interface, Never had any issue navigating on the website.
Great customer service is very responsive, they usually response within 1 working day.
Consolidating shipping, allow a good period of 45 days to consolidate order for shipping.
Reasonable fee, 300 yen usually + bank transfer fee of 200 yen is extremely reasonable.

great proxy service with some flaws

I've spent hundreds of dollars using from japan after finding it on Glamb's site because of its exceptional design and url order function, which is great for getting niche items like band apparel.
My only complaint is the limited time storage is only 45 days and can't be extended resulting in instances where shipping a normal listed item and a pre-order together isn't feasible. I'd much rather pay for an extension than pay to ship multiple orders to avoid from japan disposing of my orders.

glass sake set

My glass sake set turned up in excellent condition. It took longer to arrive because I didn’t realise I ordered surface mail. Postage is expensive but it all turned up and extremely well packaged, but good for the environment

Impressed

This was my first time using any kind of proxy service and it went very smoothly. Everything was explained well and I went in confident when it came to buying. Since ordering a second time, my only issues is not being notified of domestic shipping costs until its time to pay the second charge. I bought an item from a Japan shop and had no idea they had to pay domestic which showed up during second charge. Other than that, I really like this site. I do wish they also did a forwarding service. Proxys are great but it would be better to be able to buy and have things sent to FJ rather than assisted buying all the time but I understand they're a proxy and that might not be possible. Overall, great service and website, clear to understand and they also give shipping/price options for whatever suits you.

The Best Proxy Service I've Used

Probably the most affordable proxy service with a great system integrated for it. Ordering is extremely easy and secure through FJ. They have their system setup in a great way, better than the awkward way I've seen other services set theirs up. Other services are usually clunky, or require you to make a quote for everything, while FJ's system can do it automatically (for certain websites). As of now, however, FJ does not work with Mercari.jp and Mandarake. What I was blown away by though is that I was able to order from the Nendoroid Face Maker with FJ. I provided a guide for how to make the face and FJ basically worked with me through the whole process. Thank you FJ.
Items are packed carefully too, I've had an order that had over 60 items and they didn't forget a single one. None of them were crushed. There was one that was packed a little weird, but that might have been the company I ordered from or maybe FJ. Nothing broken though, all arrived safely (used Fedex though).
One thing I wish FJ can improve is their customer hours. They have great customer service, but not enough hours for replying to messages. If something is time sensitive, most likely they will not answer in time. I advise to either hire more customer service staff, or expand working hours either longer or include weekends. (Don't overwork your staff however).
My other complaint is the mandatory 300 yen plan fee. This "plan fee" is basically their fee for using their service. I used FJ before they made this change, and before, they had it where if you ordered off certain websites, the plan fee was free. Having 300 yen/order costs too much in the end, I hope either this fee can be lowered, or certain websites can have no fees, or, more coupon & discount opportunities, which would also encourage more sales. Also, why was amazon.jp removed? I feel like that's a great website to have on FJ. (Users can still order from it, it just used to be integrated before they changed it.)
My next complaint is they should explain why there is an extra 200 yen fee, I kept looking around the FAQ and it was never explained why I was charged that. I'm assuming it's charged for websites that are outside of FJ's recommended websites, but I wish there was a place it stated it clearly. Please update your FAQ/fee page.
My last complaint is improved explanations for price changes. I've ordered many things that had their price reduced by FJ, but the reason isn't clear, I just receive an automated message with a list of potential reasons. One of these times resulted in my order not meeting the free shipping minimum, and I had to pay for shipping, since my items were mysteriously reduced in price by FJ. I don't know if FJ paid full price for these, and just gave me weird discounts or something. I don't know why certain times the prices are reduced by FJ. I'm just really confused. So please be more clear about it to customers.
To sum up, it is a great service, just needs a bit more improvement then it'd be perfect. It's perfect for the average consumer if you're new and just need a proxy shipping service. In conclusion, my complaints were about the customer service hours, plan fee changes, the unexplained 200 yen charge, and unexplained price reductions. In other words, if FJ was just 10% more clear about these things, it'd be PERFECT.
These things wouldn't bother an average customer however, so don't be afraid to use FJ! It is a GREAT service, and these complaints are only coming from someone whos been using it for a while and ran into these special situations. The only reason I'd change services is if FJ raised their fees, or another service offered lower ones and it was just as good/easy to use. I most likely will be sticking with FJ for all my proxy shipping (except unfortunately Mercari orders, as they do not do those, probably because of Mercari's deal with other services).
